Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 13, 2026 · Last Updated: April 13, 2026

1. Introduction

Pollenflow ("we", "us", or "our") is a Chrome browser extension that lets users save and organize insights from their AI conversations on ChatGPT. Saved content is stored locally in the user's browser using IndexedDB and is never sent to external servers. We also operate the Pollenflow website (pollenflow.com) which offers a waitlist signup form for users who want early access.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Pollenflow, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Email address — submitted voluntarily through the waitlist signup form on our website.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically (Website)

  • Usage and analytics data — page views, button clicks, referral source, and session duration, collected via PostHog.
  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and approximate location (country/city level, derived from IP address).
  • Cookies — PostHog may set analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2.3 Information Handled by the Chrome Extension

The Pollenflow Chrome extension allows you to save selected content from your AI conversations. This data is stored entirely on your device using your browser's IndexedDB storage. We do not transmit, access, read, or store this content on any server. We have no ability to view your saved content.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

  • Passwords or authentication credentials
  • Payment or financial information
  • Phone numbers or physical addresses
  • Social media accounts
  • Precise geolocation (GPS)
  • Biometric data
  • Your AI conversations (the extension never reads, scans, or stores conversations unless you explicitly click to save)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To notify you when Pollenflow launches or releases important updates (waitlist emails).
  • To understand how visitors use our website and improve the product (analytics).
  • To respond to support requests or inquiries you send us.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or selling to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Pollenflow. These providers may process some of the data described above:

  • PostHog — product analytics (page views, events, device info).
  • Email delivery service — to send waitlist confirmation and launch notifications (receives your email address).
  • Vercel — website hosting (processes standard server logs including IP addresses).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We will never share your email address for marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted via HTTPS.
  • Content saved through the Chrome extension is stored locally on your device and never transmitted over any network.
  • We limit access to personal data to only those who need it to operate the service.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

  • Waitlist emails — retained until you request removal or unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data — retained according to PostHog's default retention policies.
  • Extension data — stored on your device. You can delete it anytime by clearing browser data or uninstalling the extension.

7. Cookies

Our website uses analytics cookies set by PostHog to understand visitor behavior and improve the product. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some website functionality.

8. Your Rights

Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your email from our waitlist.
  • Correction — request that we update inaccurate information.
  • Opt-out of analytics — you can disable cookies or use browser privacy settings to prevent analytics tracking.
  • Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@pollenflow.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy
